How to Sign In to Adobe Acrobat Pro

Adobe Acrobat Pro is available on all university-managed computers. If you already have a license, you just need to sign in once to activate the Pro features.

Before You Start

  • You must have an active Adobe Acrobat Pro license assigned to your CUA account.
  • You must be connected to the internet.
  • These steps apply to CUA-managed Windows and Mac computers.

Step 1: Open Adobe Acrobat

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat from your computer.
    • Windows: Start Menu → Adobe Acrobat
    • Mac: Applications → Adobe Acrobat
  2. Open any PDF file.

Note: The app may simply be called Adobe Acrobat. This is normal. Pro features unlock after you sign in.

Step 2: Start the Sign-In Process

You will be prompted to sign in when you try to use a Pro feature such as:

  • Edit PDF
  • Export PDF
  • Combine Files
  • Organize Pages

Click any of these tools to trigger the sign-in screen.

Step 3: Sign In with Your CUA Email

  1. When prompted, enter your CUA email address:
    yourNetID@cua.edu
  2. Click Continue.

Step 4: Choose “Sign in with Google”

When Adobe asks how you want to sign in:

  1. Select Sign in with Google
  2. Choose your CUA Google account
  3. Complete 2 factor authentication if prompted

Once authenticated, Acrobat will activate Pro automatically.

Step 5: Confirm You’re Signed In

To verify activation:

  1. In Acrobat, go to Help
  2. Select Account
  3. Confirm your name and CUA email are listed

If you see your account information, you’re all set.
