1. CUA Email Address:
  - Alumni are eligible to maintain an active CUA email address indefinitely.
   - To ensure continuity, alumni must log into their CUA email account at least once per year.
   - Consistent usage is key to retaining the email address. Failure to log in annually may result in account removal.
   - Please note that forwarding emails from the CUA email address does not qualify as maintaining an active account.
 
2. Alumni Google Storage:
   - Alumni are provided with Google storage space for various services including Drive, Photos, and Email.
   - The combined total storage allotted to each alumni account currently is capped at 15 GB.
   - The data cap is subject to change without notice and is based on current google offerings. All perks google allows us to provide alumni are included in this plan. 
   - It is important to manage your storage efficiently within this limit.
   - In case of exceeding the allocated storage, consider managing your files or downloading to some form or
local storage. Additional storage is not available through the university. 
 
3. Access to Limited Library Resources:
   - As valued alumni of CUA, you have access to a selection of library resources.
   - Please refer to the dedicated page Alumni Library Access  for detailed information on the resources available and the access privileges.
   - Kindly note that access to library resources may be subject to certain restrictions and conditions outlined on the provided page.
4. Microsoft Office 365
  - All Microsoft office 365 accounts will be removed at time of graduation. 
  - Alumni may choose to obtain through Microsoft, a free office 365 account using a personal email address. 
  - This account will not include any downloadable applications, and will only provide 5GB of one drive storage.
  - All data in a one drive account will be lost at time of graduation. 

  - Update for Alumni with existing office 365 accounts -

Effective July 1st, 2024, downloaded and installed Microsoft Office 365 applications for Alumni, as well  as OneDrive storage, will no longer be available for Office 365 accounts. All Office 365 Alumni accounts will be deleted on this date by Microsoft as they now require those users purchase separate, individual licenses.

   - To maintain your access to Microsoft Office 365 features, consider subscribing to a personal plan Visit office.com and follow these steps:

  1. Choose a subscription plan suitable for your needs on the Microsoft Office 365 website.

  2. If you already have a personal email address, proceed to the purchase process.

  3. To create a new personal email address with Outlook:

    • Visit the Outlook.com sign-up page.

    • Click on "Create free account."

    • Follow the on-screen instructions to select an email name and domain (@outlook.com).

    • Fill in the necessary personal details and create a password.

    • Complete the security checks and finalize the creation of your new Outlook email address.

  4. Use your personal email address, whether pre-existing or newly created with Outlook, to set up your Office 365 personal subscription.

   - Account disposition and regulations are subject to change without notice  based on Microsoft Higher Ed contract regulations. 
   - All benefits made available to Alumni provided by Microsoft will be included in this plan.

Alumni Google Account Disposition.

Alumni Google Account Removal:
 At Catholic University of America, we value the continued engagement of our alumni. To ensure the integrity and efficiency of our systems, we have the following information regarding Alumni Google account disposition:
 
1. Inactive Account Removal:
   - Accounts that have been inactive for one year or longer will be removed and all data will be deleted.
   - If you discover that your account has been removed due to inactivity, please contact techsupport@cua.edu to discuss your account
   - Removed accounts are not subject to restoration.
